Fees

The fees for a mediation are far outweighed by the cost of going to Court. There are many other negative consequences of going to court for separated families and their children.

The general principle is that mediation should be attempted before participants can commence court proceedings. There are exceptions to this rule.

  • Mediation can be conducted with or without the assistance of your lawyer.
  • Zoom or other electronic means can be used to facilitate your mediation.  In-person mediations can be more effective.  You could discuss this with your mediator.
  • The day rate for mediations below is often shared by the participants in the mediation.
